MEET THE ROSEDALE STAFF
Tammy Jedd - Rosedale Lunch Cook
I have worked in the LPS food service for over 10 years. I received my Serve Safe certificate and settled down in Rosedale four years as the kitchen manager. I live in Livonia with my husband Keith and we have five daughters who all graduated from Stevenson High School. We have a cute lab/chow mix named Chuckie who loves to chase the deer and roam our property by the creek.
My favorite thing about Rosedale is the caring staff and children who love to help each other and also me in the lunch room. The safeties and volunteers are so good with the younger children and it shows with the hugs they receive from them. They are reliable and eager to help me with setting up and taking down daily.
My favorite pastimes have recently changed with my daughters graduating. I am not longer a soccer/track mom. Now the days are more relaxing with time spent with family, traveling, movies, and nights by the fire pit. But not for long, as my two grandsons have started kindergarten and will soon have scouts, sports, and cheer!
- Next PTA Meeting will be Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 pm (Pizza and Child Care Provided)
- Mother-Son Event will be on Wednesday, April 27 at Zap Zone in Canton
- Arts,Beats,Eats&Books (Ice Cream Social) will be held Wednesday, May 4 6:00-8:00 pm
Did you know that Super Duper Cooper the Reading Dog visited our school this month? Here is some information about Cooper! Super Duper Cooper is a Shetland Sheepdog and a certified therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International. This is his fifth school year volunteering for LPS. In May of 2015 he earned the Tail Waggin' Tutor award with Therapy Dogs International, which represents 100 reading visits. He has logged over 300 hours helping students with their reading and other coursework. He also makes smiles and provides stress relief while at work in the schools. Cooper is also an agility champion and has traveled the country for many competitions, including six national events. He enjoyed his visit at Rosedale for March is Reading month and he definitely agrees that books are a treasure! Great things are happening at Rosedale!
