Long Live the Arts!

Hi folks, Jon Wennstrom here! This week we had our annual Art Fair and Music Showcase. It was an opportunity for our students to show off their work in both Art and Music. Students have been working on these songs and projects for the past several months. It's a great way to demonstrate to students that there is no overnight success, only hard work and practice leading up to a successful performance.  Thanks to all our parents who support the school by encouraging your child and coming out to see the product of their months of work!

• Spring Fling Raffle Basket Donations due Monday! Each class is assigned a theme for a basket to be raffled off at our spring fling event on May 31st. Donated items will be collected to create the raffle baskets. Cash donations will also be accepted. Please label all items with  “Spring Fling Donation” and your child’s teacher’s name. Please send in all donations by May 20th. Thanks for your support.

Did you know that Buchanan is getting a brand new Walking Path in the fall? The path will be in the back playground and provide even easier access for students who participate in the Mileage Club! Mrs. Trantham is hoping to get an even bigger group of students to achieve their mileage goals next year and participate in the next Martian Marathon. Great things are happening at Buchanan!
